Sovereign is pleased to announce the launch of its largest adventure tower for children over the age of five.

The Zion adventure tower has been designed to create a centrepiece in any playground and is the biggest piece of equipment in Sovereign’s timber range.  Standing at just over 5.5 metres in height and 11.5 metres in length, the Zion is suitable for children five years and over and combines a multitude of activities in one structure.

With a high sheltered tower deck and two slide options, it also incorporates a spider’s web rope deck, a net tunnel, an hexagonal timber deck and ascending V-shaped bridge, all connected by an assortment of trim trail style beams, walkways, steps and climbing posts.  Children can create their own way of climbing up and descending back down the Zion every time they play. The reward for getting to the top is an exciting 360 degree slide, or for those less confident, a smaller slide at the rear with an equally fun descent.

Darran Hine, Sales Director at Sovereign commented: “The Zion is an impressive structure that encourages active play and supports physical development.  The innovative design and careful selection of components has been led by our aim to challenge children’s climbing and balancing abilities.”

He continued: “We wanted to create a flagship tower with a ‘wow’ factor that could sit as a centrepiece in any playground and The Zion does just that.  This is a serious contender for all outdoor play spaces, from school grounds and local authority play areas, to leisure centres, caravan parks and pub gardens.”

Created and developed by Sovereign’s R&D team and designed to meet BS EN 1176, 1177, the Zion is manufactured using treated timber, which comes with a 20 year warranty.

“An added benefit of the Zion is its flexibility as it is made up of three adventure towers in our range.  If budget is a constraint, customers could create the Zion in three separate installations over a period of time, starting with a Yosemite and then a Yellowstone.
